UNCOVERED: Price shocker for Man Utd signing Onana

Manchester United's recruitment team is yet again coming under fire from those around the club.

The Red Devils are among the top spenders in world football over the past 11 years.

However, they have yet to win a Premier League or Champions League since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.

The club's former senior scout Bryan King has spoken about the extravagant spending United go through, such as the £44 million they paid for Andre Onana.

He told the Inside Track podcast: “Ten Hag hasn't given me any confidence that Man United are a side that can win the Premier League. That must come from the people he's brought in.

“A friend of mine knows the sporting director at Inter Milan and they were prepared to let Onana go for about £6 million.

“Then, all of a sudden, an email comes in offering over £50 million for him. Of course, they're not going to ask them to readjust their bid."
