Uefa awards Asian rights for Champions' League coverage

Al Jazeera-owned BeIN Sports has struck a deal with Uefa for Champions League rights in Indonesia, Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/. The agreement spans the 2015-18 rights cycle and guarantees BeIN Sports will show two live Champions League games per match night and one Europa League game per kick-off slot each season in Indonesia. The contract also covers highlights.

In Thailand, Laos and Cambodia, meanwhile, coverage will include two live games per match week from both competitions as well as highlights. BeIN Sports replaces former Indonesian rights holder SCTV, while TrueVisions previously held the rights in the other three territories.
