Udinese's Italy striker Simone Pepe has revealed he's in talks about a move to Roma.

Pepe played for the Giallorossi as a junior and declared: "There has been contact, it's true and now, in the next few days, we have to open negotiations. I cannot allow myself to say anymore.

"I am an Udinese player. We said a couple of days ago that I was negotiating a contract renewal. That said, I am waiting to see what happens.

"It's true, this year has been simply fantastic. I am enjoying this splendid experience in the World Cup winning Italy squad, in a competition of great prestige."
