Udinese star Sanchez: I am not the new Ronaldo or Messi

Udinese star Alexis Sanchez is eager to avoid big name comparisons.

The Chile international is wanted by Europe's biggest clubs, including Manchester United and Chelsea.

"I'd like to just be remembered as myself without any comparisons," Sanchez told Calcio 2000 magazine.

"I'm still some way off from achieving what Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have done.

"I am just Sanchez. I'm only at the start and I must continue on this path. It takes more than two or three goals to become a great player."

When asked where he would like to be in a decade's time, the South American kept his feet on the ground.

"I don't know, I'm just taking things a year at a time," he added. "I know that I want to play football. I want to improve - as a person and as a player."
