Udinese president Giampaolo Pozzo has slammed star striker Antonio Di Natale for agitating for a move away.

Pozzo snapped: "The issue is a very simple one. After renewing his contract for satisfactory figures, along with the reward of the captain's armband and the chance to become a point of reference for the dressing room, the player has begun to express dissatisfaction after learning of a proposal from another club, Fiorentina.

"He convinced himself he would be sold for a certain price, but he was mistaken. Over the summer he has insulted everyone, not just me."

Pozzo added: "We resolved last year to get rid of the 'Black Sheep'. And now I do not want one who ruins it for everyone else. The excuses from Di Natale carry no weight with me, he must speak to his teammates."
