Udinese coach Andrea Sottil was disappointed by home jeers during their 2-2 draw with Sassuolo.

Sottil has sought perspective after the result.

He said, "I'm sorry, I'm someone who always says what I think: I'm still convinced that they're an added value for us and I respect their boos, but I don't share them much.

"We played a great game, shooting on goal 17 times against a good team like Sassuolo. If we put it that Udinese haven't won at home for some time, we agree but we need to make a more general analysis given that in terms of standings we are doing much better than last season.

"We scored two goals and I have to congratulate the team on how they played.

"Clearly, if I evaluate today's game, the goals are the result of our mistakes. It's a shame to concede these goals because the team has always been in the game. Own goals could have been avoided, we defend up front to keep the opposing forwards away from goal. When you enter a mental trend of six victories, everything gets better for you, we have tried to maintain this mentality but if sometimes we are unable to do it like today it is also due to the skill of the opponent."
