It hasn't taken long for Arsenal fans to voice their opinion on the shocking news that Arsene Wenger will depart the club at the end of the season.
Wenger signed a two-year contract extension at the end of last season and many expected him to see out the agreement, but the Frenchman announced on Friday that will end his 22-year stint in north London.
Here's the best reactions to the news.

Arsene Wenger built the best teams that I played against in English Football .The 98 team was Amazing. The biggest compliment is that he played football that made us change the way we played against them. He now deserves the most incredible send off from all in the coming weeks.

Just a shame Wenger didn't announce his departure with a simple "Wenger out" and a mic drop.

I'd like to think when Wenger finally leaves Arsenal, he gets in a car, drives to a quiet pub & there will be Sir Alex in a flat cap. Sir Alex says, 'It's been a hell of a run'. Wenger just nods & smiles. They raise their glasses and toast to each other. Fade to black & credits pic.twitter.com/D1J5eSjKN0

Arsene Wenger's greatest achievement was not the Invincibles but keeping us competitive during those lean years.
He made it look easy but it really wasn't.

My greatest memory of Wenger is winning the league at Spurs, it turned so sour and he should have left years ago, but it's over, let's look forward as fans because this could be a very exciting future ahead for us all pic.twitter.com/ViZDHWf78t

Many have been critical over the past few years with perhaps some right & some wrong but every single survey we have conducted, the respect for Arsene Wenger has been immense and always visible. We would like to thank Arsene Wenger for everything he has done for our football club

I urge the lads at @Arsenal to give Monsieur Wenger the best send off he could ever ask for; Winning The Europa league. No better joy than that for a man who re-shaped the history of Arsenal football. We the fans would want this. We love you Arsene Wenger. You are a legend.
