Matt Turner says he'll arrive at Arsenal to push No1 Aaron Ramsdale.
Turner hopes to oust Ramsdale as first-choice - just like the England stopper did to Bernd Leno last season.
The 16-cap USA star, 27, is linking up with the Gunners this month after they agreed a deal with Major League Soccer side New England Revolution in February.
Turner is tipped to star the season as second-choice keeper as Leno is expected to leave.
But the MLS player of the year aims to 'push' Ramsdale and make them both better players.
He told Sky Sports: "Aaron had an amazing season for Arsenal and played well all year. I'd agree with it for now.
"I'm coming in to push him and become the best goalkeeper I can become, while also making him the best goalkeeper he can become."
