Thomas Tuchel says Chelsea are waiting to assess Billy Gilmour's latest injury before deciding on his future.

Gilmour has temporarily returned from his loan spell with Norwich City after suffering an ankle injury.

Canaries boss Dean Smith is confident Gilmour will stay at Carrow Road until the end of the season.

Asked about Gilmour ahead of Wednesday's clash with Spurs, Tuchel said: "We are checking his injury. He's our player so he's back here to have the best examinations so we can find out about the situation.

"Then we can decide together with him and with Norwich what's going on. We had no talks yet over whether he stays or not."
