Tributes were being made yesterday to former Manchester City midfielder Marc-Vivien Foe on the ninth anniversary of his passing.

Foe collapsed on the pitch playing for Cameroon in the Confederations Cup and died aged 28.

Former team-mate Kevin Horlock said on Twitter: "9 years today since ex team mate Marc Vivien Foe past away #topbloke #neverforgotten"

Current Blues midfielder Nigel de Jong added: "Lost but never forgotten RIP '@MCFC: Remembering Marc-Vivien Foé (1 May 1975 - 26 June 2003)'"
