Tribal Trends - Transfers: Arsenal desperate for Zaha; Hudson-Odoi nears Chelsea deal; Liverpool threaten Man Utd target

The summer transfer window is now in full swing. There are stories and speculation swirling around everywhere. Sometimes it feels overwhelming.

But please don't stress, because here at Tribalfootballwe will summarise the biggest stories throughout football each week and let you know whether you should believe the paper talk or not…

Wilfried Zaha - Crystal Palace

Clubs Interested:Arsenal

Arsenal are not giving up in their pursuit for Wilfried Zaha as they are reportedly set to include players in a new offer for the Ivory Coast international.

According to the London Evening Standard, Arsenal had a £40m bid for Zaha rejected by Crystal Palace as they deemed it too far off their valuation of their star man with the Eagles' asking price said to be in the region of £80m.

The Gunners' limited transfer budget has now prompted them to opt for a part exchange deal in a bid to secure the 26-year-old's services with the likes of Carl Jenkinson, Shkodran Mustafi and Mohamed Elneny touted to be included as part of the deal.

Emery views Zaha as a player that will bolster Arsenal's chances of securing a top four finish next season, but it remains to be seen whether Crystal Palace will come to an agreement with Arsenal over a fee for the winger.

Likelihood: This could go on and on

Bruno Fernandes - Sporting CP

Clubs Interested:Liverpool, Manchester United

Liverpool are hinting at an 11th-hour move for Manchester United transfer target Bruno Fernandes.

Sporting are reportedly willing to listen to offers within the range of £45m for Fernandes. The 20-year-old scored 20 goals and made 13 assists for Sporting CP in the Liga Nos last season thus attracting interest from some of Europe's top clubs.

Manchester United are reportedly extremely close to signing Fernandes but Liverpool appears set to jump make a late attempt to sign the highly-rated midfielder.

A Bola suggests the Reds are in contact with Fernandes' agents over a possible move, but nothing is certain at this point.

It remains to be seen whether Jurgen Klopp actually wants to part with any money this summer.

Likelihood: Open that wallet FSG!

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic - Lazio

Clubs Interested:Manchester United

With talk of Paul Pogba potentially leaving Manchester United before the end of the transfer window growing bigger and bigger the Red Devils are reportedly making plans to sign a replacement for the World Cup winner.

And they have reportedly identified Lazio's Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as the man to fill Pogba's role should he leave Old Trafford.

Sportmediaset says the Serb's agents touched down in London over the weekend to speak with United officials.

Milinkovic-Savic could be available for around £80m which is a bit less than the £120m Lazio were determined to accept for his services last season primarily due to his slightly underwhelming performances in the 2018/19 Serie A campaign.

If Pogba goes then United could pull the trigger on Milinkovic-Savic.

Likelihood: All depends on the below...

Paul Pogba - Manchester United

Clubs Interested:Real Madrid

Real Madrid have done a great job of putting together a team of Galacticos so far, but Zinedine Zidane is looking to take things one step further and acquire the services of Paul Pogba who is expected to cost Los Blancos around £150m.

However, Florentino Perez is reluctant to make a move for the Frenchman as he feels he's far too expensive and may not live up to the billing at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Both president and manager are at loggerheads over the deal, according to Le 10 Sport.

Zidane has previously managed to convince Perez to end his pursuit of Neymar, hence; it shouldn't be too difficult for the French football legend to convince Perez to facilitate a move for the 26-year-old.

Likelihood: Zizou has the cards

Callum Hudson-Odoi- Chelsea

Clubs Involved:Chelsea

According to Goal, Chelsea are confident that Callum Hudson-Odoi will put pen to paper on a £100k-per-week deal in the coming weeks as he is said to be a huge part of Frank Lampard's plans.

The youngster is on Bayern Munich's radar and has been so for quite a while thanks to his impressive performances for Chelsea in the few games he has had the opportunity to feature in.

The 18-year-old is currently out with an Achilles injury which has put him out of action since April, although, he is poised to be back in contention for a spot in Chelsea's first team by September.

Likelihood: Lock it in Blues!
