David Trezeguet is confident Hercules can beat the drop.

With seven rounds of the championship remaining, Hercules are third from bottom - three points behind 17th-placed Real Zaragoza.

"We're not dead - we depend on ourselves," Trezeguet said.

"In theory we need 12 more points to get to the 42 which should mathematically be enough to secure survival."

That means four wins in the last seven games and Trezeguet hopes his side can seal the first of those victories at Levante.

"We have to start winning games to get to that total as soon as possible," he said.
