Italian coaching great Giovanni Trapattoni believes Mario Balotelli will realise he wasted his career once it is over.
The 24-year old Liverpool striker is yet to fulfill his enormous potential with on and off-field issues hindering what could be a brilliant career at the top level.
Former Juventus, Inter Milan, Bayern Munich, Italy and Republic of Ireland boss Trapattoni admits he doesn't know how Balotelli's playing days will progress but feels the enigmatic attacker will live to regret what he does not achieve on the pitch.
"I do not know how Balotelli's career will pan out in the future," Trapattoni told La Nazione.
"But I know that when he hangs up his boots he will realise the many opportunities he has wasted."
Balotelli joined Liverpool from AC Milan in the summer for £16million but has scored just two goals in 14 appearances for the Merseyside club.
