Transfer tension: Conte and Chelsea front office still at loggerheads

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte and the front office remain at loggerheads, it has been revealed.

It's been claimed in England that Conte could walk away at the end of the season, having been blocked from quitting last summer due to a penalty clause in his deal.

Le 10 Sport says tension remains between Conte and football chief Michael Emenalo over transfer strategy.

While Conte was backed over the additions of Tiémoué Bakayoko, Antonio Rudiger and Alvaro Morata, Emenalo and his scouts believe they had superior alternatives lined up.

The differences remain and is at the heart of a simmering tension that exists between Conte and Emenalo.
