Chelsea are under no pressure of losing on-loan midfielder Mateo Kovacic, despite their transfer ban.
FIFA rejected Chelsea's appeal against their two window transfer ban last week, which sparked doubt they would be able to sign outright Kovacic from Real Madrid.
However, AS says Chelsea have time to secure an agreement with Real about a permanent deal for the Croatia international.
As the ban was handed down last month, FIFA recognise Kovacic as a Chelsea player and they will permit the Blues to buy him before June 30.
However, should the Blues miss the deadline, then Kovacic's registration will return to Real and Chelsea will not be allowed to re-sign him.
