Trabzonspor president Ahmet Agaoglu has revealed Cardiff City made a January attempt for Yusuf Yazici.
With the Bluebirds bravely battling against relegation this term, boss Neil Warnock had been keen to add to his squad.
Agaoglu told TRT Sport that Cardiff had made a move for Yazici, but their offer fell short of the Turkish international's value.
He said, “I don't want to sell the players just for the money. It has to be the right club where they can continue their developments.
“For example, Cardiff City made a €14m offer for Yusuf Yazici during the winter transfer window. If we negotiated it, they were willing to up their offer up to €20m but we didn't want to do that."
