Sheffield United have tabled an improved offer for Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.
After having an opening proposal for the Turkey international turned down last week, DH reports the Blades have returned with a new bid of €20m - and Trabzonspor have accepted.
Cakir has also attracted enquiries from Tottenham and Chelsea in recent weeks, but it the Blades which have formalised their interest with two bids in recent days.
There remains a stumbling block, however, over Trabzonspor's demand of a 15 per cent cut of any sell-on fee.
United haven't completely ruled out the request, though further talks are scheduled to find a compromise.
