Tottenham winger Andros Townsend refuses to take his new fame for granted.
While his displays lit up Wembley and helped secure England's automatic passage into the finals, he is taking nothing for granted regarding his own position in Roy Hodgson's squad.
Townsend said: "Last summer, I had a bad time - as you know.
"I had the chance to go to the Under-21s tournament but, obviously, it didn't happen.
"But it gave me the chance to relax, to think about the season ahead and to get my head right. I've come back stronger. That's what I planned to do.
"I can't think about next summer at the moment. I can't get carried away. I have got to focus on my club football.
"Every time I get the chance to play for Tottenham, I have to keep playing well and, hopefully, the rewards will come at the end of the season."
