Tottenham's Bale admits to difficulty in coping with two defenders

Gareth Bale has admitted he has found the extra attention given to him of late from opposition teams difficult to deal with. Bale has found himself a targeted man after his stunning exploits in the recent Champions League clashes against Inter Milan.

The Wales international scored twice against Blackburn last weekend and the 21-year-old was delighted to find a way past Rovers after finding himself doubled up on.

"It has been difficult for me recently when teams have had two players marking me," Bale told The Sun.

"In a way I've got to try to find another way to get past them. I did that against Blackburn and I was delighted."

Spurs face local rivals Arsenal this weekend and Bale believes they can get a result at the Emirates.

"It will be a massive test obviously away at Arsenal but we'll be ready for it," added Bale.

"We need to win every game we play at the moment. We're good enough to beat anybody and we've shown that in the past.

"It was important we got that victory [against Blackburn] before the derby, just to get the winning feeling back after a recent poor run in the league.

"If we do get the first goal in matches, then we look quite comfortable.

"It was important to get ourselves kick-started again. The Champions League is coming around next week, so we want to build on that."
