Tottenham youngster Troy Parrott upbeat after operation

Tottenham youngster Troy Parrott is targeting a return to action after he underwent surgery on the hamstring injury.

The Irish attacker, on loan at Preston North End, suffered the injury while celebrating a goal against Norwich, his first in 13 matches.

He has gone under the knife, but is in good spirits as he hopes to be back in action as soon as possible.

“Hamstring surgery went well, road to recovery starts now and I'll be doing everything in my power to be back doing what I love asap," he said in a social media post.

The Irish youngster is a Tottenham player, with the club having high hopes for his potential.

He will be hoping to make a success of his move to Preston, after a mized spell at Milton Keynes last term.
