Tottenham have made a bid for Sporting Lisbon defender Eric Dier.

The London Evening Standard says Spurs have joined the race for England Under-21 international Dier, who is also wanted by Chelsea and Everton.

Dier, who joined Sporting Lisbon's academy as a youngster because his parents moved to Portugal for work, is valued at £6.4m but Tottenham have only offered £4.3m.
