Tottenham striker Solomon frustrated with Cup exit; happy with first start

Tottenham striker Manor Solomon admits their Carabao Cup elimination is frustrating.

Spurs were knocked out by Fulham on penalties in the second round on Tuesday.

Solomon told SPURSPLAY: "We didn't start the game the way we wanted to, we conceded a goal and didn't play well. After 20, 25 minutes we started to play much better, created some chances, not a lot, but some chances and bounced back with the equaliser.

“We are all disappointed because we really wanted to win this game. It's a shame we lost on penalties. After Richy's equaliser we felt this was the time to score the second, unfortunately, we didn't do it. This is football. We're disappointed because we wanted to go on in this competition, but we will bounce back."

It marked Solomon's first competitive start for Spurs.

“It was exciting for me to play in a Spurs shirt at Craven Cottage, the place that gave me an opportunity last season," he added, before telling us how he'd settled a couple of months into his Spurs career.

“I really like it here" he said. “I like the club, the people, the manager. I think we have a great team. I hope to integrate more and more, and to help the team much more. I'm sure I'll get more opportunities in the upcoming games, and I'll try to exploit that and give everything to the team.

“Hopefully, we will continue in the good way we started in the Premier League."
