Tottenham striker Harry Kane was left "very disappointed" with defeat to Stoke City.
It marked Kane's first Premier League start for the season.
"It was obviously my first start of the season in the Premier League and I wanted to get a better result," he told the Spurs website.
"We gave away two poor goals in the first half and we were always struggling to get back into the game after that.
"We're very disappointed with that, but we have to move on. We look forward to the next game after the international break and we're determined to get a positive result."
