Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor has explained away his problems over returning from the African Cup of Nations in South Africa.
Spurs had to send a private jet to collect him FOUR DAYS after Togo had been knocked out of the Cup.
He said: "In South Africa there were no planes. I can get a private jet but I don't want to abandon my team.
"Togo is not Ivory Coast. When they went out, the president of their federation sent them a plane to get back.
"It took us four days to get a plane to Togo. That's not my fault, I can't just put wings on my body and fly to London."
