Harry Kane had lauded Tottenham's 2-2 draw with Juventus as a "great result".
The visitors went down by two goals after just nine minutes, courtesy of a Gonzalo Higuain brace.
Kane then dragged his side back into the game with a composed goal with ten minutes in the first-half. Christian Eriksen's free-kick on the 71st minute mark handed Spurs their second away goal for the night.
"We could have done [capitulated], away from home in the Champions League. It showed character," Kane told BT Sport.
"It was an excellent performance after that and we take two away goals to Wembley. Great result.
"I should have scored the header but you have to be ready for the next one and I finished it off."
