Tottenham's Swindon youngster Pritchard lands Football League nomination

Swindon Town midfielder Alex Pritchard has been nominated for the Football League Young Player of the Year award.

The 20-year old, who is on a season-long loan from Tottenham, is in the running for the award which will be handed to the player voted as the best under the age of 21 for the 2013/14 Football League season.

England U20 international Pritchard has been impressive during his time spent with the Robins, having made 29 League One appearances for five goals, and eight further outings in cup competitions for an additional two goals.

Pritchard is up against Derby County starlet Will Hughes and Leicester City's Liam Moore for the award which will be announced at the Football League awards in London this Sunday.

Past winners of the award included Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, Manchester United's Cardiff City loanee Wilfried Zaha, Blackpool's on-loan Crystal Palace winger Tom Ince and Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph.
