Tottenham's Sandro has eyes on Italy

Tottenham midfielder Sandro is open to a move to the Italian Serie A according to his agent.

The 25-year old Brazilian midfielder is believed to be unhappy with his lack of playing time at White Hart Lane which ultimately cost him a spot in Luiz Felipe Scolari's World Cup squad.

Sandro has emerged as a target for some clubs in Italy and his representative, Luiz Paulo Chignall, suggested a move abroad could be an option.

"The interest of Napoli and Roma? We have not had direct contacts and there have been no formal offers," Chignall said.

"We know that many clubs are following Sandro.

"He would like to play in Serie A, it is a very important championship but now we have to wait to know if he can leave Tottenham or not.

"I think that Tottenham want to keep him, but I cannot rule out that they decide to sell if there will be a good offer."

Sandro, who joined Spurs from Internacional in 2010, is under contract with the north London club until the summer of 2016.
