Tottenham's Pavyluchenko keen on long-term stay

Tottenham striker Roman Pavyluchenko says he wants to stay at the club and forge a long-term future at White Hart Lane.

The Russian international has been linked to other clubs on several occasions but has said he feels comfortable with Tottenham and would like to remain with Spurs.

"I want to make it clear I am happy with Spurs and I want to win things here and have never said otherwise," he said.

"London already feels like home.

"I am pleased because this is the strongest league in the world and Spurs are one of the biggest clubs in England. This is what every footballer dreams about.

"I had set myself a target of 15 goals for my first season, but if I reach that target I won't stop there. I have got to grips with the style of English football and adapted my game.

"We've been frustrated by our league position for some time, but hopefully now things will start to improve. Now we can't afford to take our foot off the gas."
