Tottenham's Dawson returns to San Jose Earthquakes on loan

San Jose Earthquakes have confirmed that Tottenham midfielder Simon Dawkins has returned to the club on loan.

The 24-year old midfielder spent the 2011 MLS season with the Quakes, making 26 appearances, and will be back in action for the Santa Clara club in 2012 although terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

San Jose head coach Frank Yallop was delighted to have Dawkins back at the Buck Shaw Stadium after he scored six goals and provided two assists last term.

"Simon did very well for us last season and we're really happy to have him back," said Yallop.

"He's talented on the ball, will take guys on and not only will set teammates up, but will create his own chances. With a year under his belt in our league, he knows what to expect now and should be ready to once again be a key piece for us."
