Tottenham's Bale in doubt with hamstring injury

Tottenham star Gareth Bale could be sidelined for as many as three weeks after suffering a minor tear of his hamstring.

The 22-year old winger picked up the injury whilst training with the Wales national team on Tuesday in preparation for last night's friendly with Costa Rica.

It has not been confirmed yet but it is believed that Bale has sustained a Grade 1 tear of the hamstring which takes as little as 10 and as many as 21 days to heal.

Goal.com sources suggest that Bale will miss Sunday's home clash with Manchester United and may also be out for at least two weeks and perhaps three as Spurs' title hopes hang in the balance.
