Tottenham request early season Wembley use

Tottenham Hotspur are making a request to the Premier League to play the first home game of the next season at Wembley Stadium.

While Spurs are moving to their new stadium during next season, they need a home game at another ground so the stadium can be ready in time.

Spurs made two options available to the FA that would help them with this situation, according to Sky Sports.

The first option is that Spurs would play the first four games of the league season away from home. In this scenario, their first home game would be at the new stadium.

The second option is to have the first three games away from home and the fourth be a home game at Wembley.

It is unclear whether they will be successful with the request, as the Premier League wants teams to play every home game at the same stadium. But Sky reports the requests are being considered by the Premier League's executive chairman and directors.
