Tottenham have received an unexpected boost after a difficult week.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has reported that club captain Ledley King can play again this season.

The injury-plagued defender has not played since October but no longer requires a second operation on his groin problem.

"Ledley is not having surgery," Redknapp said.

"He's doing a little bit of fitness training. Let's see how he goes. It's week to week with him."
