Tottenham are ready to hand Ledley King a new contract.

The Daily Mail says Tottenham will offer King a new 12-month deal with an option for a further year.

However, the Tottenham skipper, who currently nets in the region of £70,000-per-week, could be forced to take a cut in his basic wage.

Sources close to King claim he would prefer to stay, provided the deal is right.
