Tottenham are planning a move for Genoa defender Andrea Cambiaso.

Sport Italia's Alfredo Pedulla reports Tottenham are preparing for Real Madrid to exercise their buy-back clause in Sergio Reguilon's contract this summer and have identified Genoa's Cambiaso as a potential replacement.

The 22-year-old has spent the majority of his career playing outside Italy's top flight on loan from his parent club, until he made his breakthrough into the first team this campaign and experienced his debut season in Serie A.

The Italy U21 international has made just 12 league appearances this season but has scored once and assisted a further four times during those games, heavily impressing as an attack-minded left back.

But despite his limited experience at the top level, the club already rate him at around £12 million, and his versatility and ability to use both feet means that he can slot in on either side of defence if required.
