Just months ago, Moussa Sissoko indicated that he was an admirer of the Arsenal Football Club.
On Wednesday, the 27-year-old Frenchman joined the Gunners' North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on a five-year deal from Newcastle United.
Sissoko had been the subject of interest from both Everton and Spurs but opted for White Hart Lane despite recently speaking of his love for Arsene Wenger's Arsenal.
Prior to Euro2016, the former Toulouse star said: "Everyone knows, I often said it when I was young, Arsenal is the club of my heart.
"Because there were quite a few French players there like Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Sylvain Wiltord, Patrick Vieira who was my idol…
"The beautiful Arsenal. We will see."
It will be interesting to see how the Spurs faithful take to Sissoko, who has cost the club £30million, and only on the odd occasion showed his true colours for the Magpies last season.
