Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks has said it is "unbelievable" to be named by Gareth Southgate in England's squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures against Croatia and Spain.
Winks has completed 90 minutes just twice since undergoing surgery on a long-term ankle problem in May but performed admirably in last night's loss to Barcelona.
Speaking before the announcement: "It would be amazing [to be in the England squad]. I've only been back in the Tottenham team for the last few weeks, so I'm not holding my breath or anything.
"But it would be unbelievable for me to get back in. I'd love to. Representing my country is always an honour."
