Tottenham midfielder Scott Parker hopes he's playing his way back into the England squad.
Parker, who suffered an Achilles injury playing for England last summer, highlighted his impressive return with a man-of-the-match performance in last week's stunning 3-0 Europa League triumph over Inter Milan.
He said: "I'd love to be involved again. It's very much at the forefront of my mind.
"I don't know what the manager's plans are but hopefully I can get back in there.
"It was my first big tournament last summer and I feel I did well. It's something I really want."
Parker is desperately hoping he's done enough since his return to the Spurs first team to convince Hodgson to give him a World Cup role.
"When you've been out for so long, it can be tough," he admitted. "Over the last couple of weeks I've thought 'Right, I'm slowly getting there'. I was pleased with the way things went against Inter and can hopefully keep pushing on now."
