Tottenham midfielder Scott Parker is ready to step up his coaching plans.

Parker, 32, is due to complete his UEFA 'A' coaching licence alongside Phil Neville this summer after the 36-year-old joins up with Stuart Pearce's coaching staff for the European Under-21 Championships in Israel in June.

England U21 coach Stuart Pearce said: "Parker wants to get involved. It won't be this summer but Scotty will be one of those (who joins up with England).

"The door's always open I think and it should be from the FA to encourage these young people as they did me many years ago."
