Tottenham legend Gareth Bale has lavished praise on the club's current setup this week.

Bale, who is now retired, stated that he would have liked the opportunity to play in Ange Postecoglou's Spurs team.

The Australian has assembled a new-look Tottenham team and started the Premier League season strongly.

James Maddison, Micky van de Ven, Destiny Udogie and Guglielmo Vicario are new additions for Spurs.

“Yeah, definitely," Bale stated on playing in this Spurs team, per the Evening Standard.

“It's great to see. They've got the style back, I think that's something the club were probably looking for as well.

“Hopefully there's still more to come from the team."
