Tottenham will put in a £40 million bid for Leicester City star James Maddison this week.
The North London club are eager to secure the England international for new boss Ange Postecoglou.
Per The Telegraph, Spurs will begin the bidding at the above mentioned figure.
However, Leicester are thought to want at least £60 million for their prized asset, despite his contract status.
At present, Maddison only has one year remaining on his contract and can depart on a free in the summer.
Leicester, however, know that keeping him in their squad drastically increases their chances of promotion back to the Premier League.
