Tottenham are jumping into the battle for Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez.

The playmaker has clashed with Cagliari management after being blocked from joining Inter Milan, with disciplinary measures including him training away from the first team squad.

Via Sport-Express, Sky Italia says Spurs have made an inquiry about the 25-year-old Uruguayan.

Nanez remains determined to leave Cagliari, as he wants to try his hand at a higher level.

For the moment, Cagliari have not put a price on their star midfielder.

Nandez hasn't yet featured for Cagliari coach Leonardo Semplici as he's pushed to leave for Inter. He has a contract with the Sardinians to 2024.

The 25 year-old featured in all of Uruguay's games in this summer's run to the Copa America quarterfinals.

Last season with Cagliari, Nandez played 34 games, scoring twice and producing two assists. He was played right across the midfield, primarily on the right flank.
