Tottenham are joining the battle for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

Il Mattino says Tottenham are ready to rival Liverpool and Manchester United for the signing of Koulibaly.

Spurs may consider making a move to sign the 28-year-old, but there may still be a significant stumbling block.

The report adds that any club wishing to sign Koulibaly would need to meet Napoli's £89m asking price as well as fork out £5m per year on the player's wages.

Any deal for Koulibaly looks increasingly unlikely amid the financial uncertainty caused by the coronavirus suspension, and a move to Anfield or any Premier League appears to be slim.
