Tottenham could be interested in Aston Villa striker John Carew this summer with Jermaine Jenas heading in the opposite direction, reports The Metro. Spurs have been linked with the Norway striker, who may find himself surplus to requirements at Villa Park once Emile Heskey returns to full fitness.

Jenas has been reputed to be a replacement for Gareth Barry by Villa boss Martin O'Neill if his skipper leaves at the end of the campaign and joins Liverpool.
