Tottenham are interested in FC Twente winger Bryan Ruiz.

The Costa Rica international is on Tottenham's radar as they face defeat in their battle with Chelsea for Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar.

Ruiz courted interest from Liverpool in the summer, where former manager Roy Hodgson is a big fan.

A wide player, Ruiz's 24 goals helped Steve McClaren's former side to the Dutch title last season.
