Edinson Cavani is ready to quit Palermo.

The Uruguay international signed a new deal with the Rosanero to 2014 earlier this year, but those close to the Cavani camp say the contract is only a ploy to strengthen Palermo's hand in transfer negotiations.

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has confirmed his interest in Cavani, having made a personal check on the striker this season.

Inter Milan and Juventus are also ready to take part in an auction for the forward.
