Tottenham inform Chelsea £30M will not get them Modric

Tottenham have told Chelsea to forget about trying to buy Luka Modric.

The Daily Mail says Chelsea have been told their £30million offer for Modric will be rejected - and have been warned off any future bids by Tottenham.

Angry chairman Daniel Levy, who has insisted all along that the Croatia midfielder is staying, has told Stamford Bridge chiefs he will not consider any offer.

However, Chelsea believe this to be a tactical move by Levy and may make an increased player-plus-cash offer.

Manager Harry Redknapp rates Yossi Benayoun but is keen to keep Modric.
