Tottenham plan to rival Arsenal in the race to land Feyenoord's highly-rated midfielder Orkun Kokcu this summer.

The 20-year-old is viewed as one of the brightest talents in Europe and is attracting admiring glances from across the continent.

Arsenal have a long standing interest in Kokcu having tried to sign the player in 2020 but local rivals Tottenham are now ready to go head-to-head with the Gunners in the race for the Turkey International, says the Daily Mail.

Spurs have communicated with Orkun's representatives to register their interest and will continue to be updated on his future.

The youngster was named in the Eredivisie team of the month for February and March and the Dutch top-flight's young player of the month for March.
