Tottenham are chasing Espanyol defender Dani Jarque.

The Mirror says Juande Ramos tried to sign Jarque, 24, while in charge of Sevilla and the Spanish defender is also a target for Atletico Madrid and Villarreal.

Jarque already has a relationship with Ramos and that could be the key in luring him to White Hart Lane.

Jarque said: "I know Ramos and I know he is an excellent coach. As a player, you only want to progress but going to England would be a great move."
