A lucky nightclub waiter found himself the owner of an expensive timepiece after Tottenham star Vedran Corluka gave him a watch worth £36,000. The £8.5 million Croatian defender was on a night out at London nightspot Whisky Mist when the waiter complimented him on his diamond-studded Hublot watch.
The good-natured star slipped off the watch off to let the waiter have a better look at it - then offered to swap it for the waiter's Seiko.
"Charlie took it off and handed it to him. Then he spotted the waiter's watch and said he liked it," a source at the nightclub told The Sun.
"He said, 'Let's swap'. The waiter thought he was joking. Charlie's a lovely bloke and always polite."
