Former Real Madrid star Xabi Alonso has emerged as the frontrunner to take over Tottenham's first team next season.
The Spaniard, who also played for Bayern Munich and Liverpool during a glittering career, is presently in charge at Bayer Leverkusen.
With Alonso impressing in Germany, De Telegraaf states that he has become the man in pole position to join Spurs.
The Dutch outlet was reporting on the chances of Feyenoord head coach Arne Slot getting the job.
He is seen as another frontrunner, but is not the favourite, while Julian Nagelsmann is not ready to commit until Spurs have a sporting director in place.
One who will not be rejoining the club is Mauricio Pochettino, as he appears more likely to go to Chelsea.
